Our Impact

Truth, transparency and how we measure our impact.

For purpose

We’re proud to be a social enterprise. This means that our profits are reinvested back into other community, society and charitable causes. Given our focus on supporting the personal development of young adults, it won’t come as a surprise that it’s this area that we give most to. From the outset, it made absolute sense for us to become a social enterprise, because we’re driven by a purpose to make a lasting impact.

Measuring social impact

We started Know You More to make as big a difference as we can. Promises are easy to make, but not always easy to keep. To fully understand what is going on with the people we help, we want to measure the real difference that we make not just the number of young adults we support. We want to show that we make good on our commitments, and that means being completely transparent about the impact we make. We’re committed to sharing publicly the numbers behind Know You More.

Why bother?

Measuring the impact we make will help drive us forward. We’ve identified some key metrics that we think are important to share. Doing this will help us drive Know You More forward by bringing our mission to life. There are three core benefits of sharing our impact.

Shining a spotlight on young adults

We demonstrate and promote our ability to make a positive difference to the life of young adults. The more people we help, the more we can motivate and inspire positive change.

Motivating our team

Sharing our impact serves as motivations for the team, our partners, our funders and most importantly of all, our community of coaches. It gives them pride in their contribution to delivering our mission.

Bringing our mission to life

Sharing the numbers behind our mission can inspire other organisations to get involved.

How we measure our impact

There are five key metrics that we’ll be measuring in 2018.

How many young adults did we reach?

How many charities did we support?

How many young adults did we make a positive difference to?

How many hours of coaching have we delivered?

How many hours were delivered to charities?

How many young adults did not engage in our services?

Transparency

We believe in being as transparent as possible. That means that we want to share with you what work we have done, how we evaluate our work and and how we spend our money. We are at the very start of that journey and we want to show that we make good on our commitments, and that means being completely transparent on the impact we make. We’re committed to sharing publicly the numbers and the difference we make behind Know You More.

Live data (Coming soon)

We love to share the number of people we’ve been able to support, the number of people where we haven’t made our full impact and why. This dashboard is connected directly to the Know You More portal and is refreshed regularly. It has been designed to ensure that anonymity is protected.
